Fabric
Cotton is a natural fiber that grows from the seeds of the cotton plant. Due to its wear-resistant character, it is a durable material. In addition, cotton is skin-friendly and easy to maintain.
Care
Wash garments inside out as much as possible and wash delicate fabrics in a laundry bag. For colored garments, use a colored laundry detergent. White detergent may contain bleach and can only be used for pure white laundry. Certainly during the first washes, garments can give off color, so only wash with similar colors.
Tumble dryers use a lot of energy, can shrink your garment and cause faster wear. Dry your garment as much as possible on a drying rack with indirect sunlight. This is not only more sustainable, but you can also enjoy your garments for longer.
The washing instructions described are guidelines for the materials in their purest form. Before washing your garment, always check the washing label on the inside of the garment first.
Washing
Wash at a maximum of 30 degrees at first, then at a maximum of 40 degrees.
Tip: add a small splash of natural vinegar (1dl) to the wash for optimal color retention.
Drying
Dry cotton preferably lying inside out on a drying rack in indirect sunlight. If you prefer a tumble dryer, turn your garment inside out and dry at a low temperature.
Ironing
Cotton has a low elasticity and therefore creases quickly. Iron garments made of 100% cotton inside out at a maximum of 200 degrees. If it concerns a cotton mix, it is recommended to iron at a maximum of 110 degrees.
Stains
Cotton can be treated with specific stain remover applied directly to the stain. Do not soak for too long. Rinse manually and then wash as directed.
